I've heard/read about ghosts supposedly coming back to warn loved ones about other impending disasters and other like circumstances.
I was just thinking back on my own mother, who was a devout JW until her death 4 years ago. Just made me wonder if she is in a better place and if she had finally figured out the truth about the Truth.

In a way, I really envy you for your candor. I talk a tough game when my relatives pressure me to come back. I use a variety of concrete arguments, however, they are always to the effect of my own personal thoughts & beliefs. At the end of the day, I never have the cajones to challenge their beliefs because I know how much they would be hurt by my doing so......Maybe I should grow some cajones....?

...i've been thinking and i reckon leaving "the truth" and risking losing your entire family has to be one of the bravest things to do.

i noticed on another thread that others found once they left it inspired other family members to leave too.
Personally, I think it takes a lot of strength to "fade" in an effort to keep your JW friends & family connections alive. It seems that it would be really hard to act like you believe in this drivel when you really don't around the people that you care about. Both exit strategies take a tremendous amount of courage and sacrifice, I just think in the long run it's easier to "tear the band-aid off quickly", so to speak.

saying you can not disobey once, or else you be left stuck in the bottom of the red sea.. from now on the elders will be making shepherding calls on those that are not attending regularly.. also, it was stated that if you know of any not attending regularly.
Sounds reasonable enough to me to expect folks to attend EVERY meeting. After all, people need their sleep.......

witnesses the bible says that man cannot even comprehend heaven... how would anyone know that 144,000 people will live in heaven when the old testament says in the first book genesis and got parted the waters from the world and the heaven so earths population is almost 4 billion people... how is only 144,000 people... or as i guess 144000 godlike beings going to inhabit a world as big as that ... which brings me to the next point 144000 godlike beings f they are godlike then there are 144,001 gods which is polytheistic.
